Here's a photo that I took of William Finley after dinner a few years ago in New York. His expression says it all-- that's Finley's disposition, all the way. He was a dear man.
I would have LOVED to sit and talk to him about Faust, part 2. Aparently, he'd RE-read it for POTP. I did read part 1, but part 2 was a bear and I never did get through it!
I also had a sequel to the movie (called Now and THEN), where I had Winslow singing HIS Faust with Josh Groban! Oh, how I wish it was possible to download daydreams onto Youtube! It sounded great! Sadly, I finished writing the story in March, as was contemplating how and WHO to approach about possibly making the movie a reality. (Permission, production, etc)when I got the sad news, from one of the Phantompalooza organizers.
To reiterate what I said in an earlier post; I am glad I got to say THANK YOU to William for his (and Winslow's) impact on our lives! And I'm sure that sentiment is echoed MANY times over!
